The Process

I.     The first step is to be pre-approved for a home loan.   Either a bank or  a mortgage company can do this, both have advantages. We can refer you to some if you do not have one.

II.     The second step is to locate where to build the home.   Currently we build in Wilson County and surrounding areas.   

We have access to many different neighborhoods that have lots ranging from 1 acre to 10 acres.  The amount of the land can be rolled into the same loan for the house.

III.     The third step is to design or purchase a plan that suits your needs  and desires.  We can refer you to a designer and will work closely with you in designing your home. .

IV.      Once preliminary plans are drawn, Les Miller, owner of Discovery Custom Homes,  will bid your home at no cost to you.  

V.     Construction begins after closing on your lot and utilities are set up. We will work with you and allow your contractors to do labor, or even  you to do labor,  as long as you carry the proper insurance.

  Whatever you decide, we will be there to help guide you through every step of the home building process.
